  • "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" (video)

Christmas is fast approaching and it's time for us to unveil our brand new special end-of-year holiday clip! The premises: As you now know - well, theoretically - we still have an ongoing fundraiser to finance new Studio-Clips. Two clips have already been released on Youtube - Rehab and Lemon Tree - and the audios from Good Riddance have already been shared with our patrons. But what about the filming of Studio-Clips #3 and #4 ? Well these are planned for early 2024. Our director Aalehx being available again after the release of his new album Primal Robot on which we put our voices on 2 tracks... And as our last Christmas title dated from 2020 with the super medley that we made with Orilia, we said to ourselves that it was the opportunity to release a new video on this theme with a new title in our repertoire until now. 'to this year. From May to December, we collected more than €1,200. As this is a low budget clip, the rest will be used to cover the very likely additional costs of the 3rd pending clip. But until recently, we did not yet know which title would be the subject of this recording. In mid-November we said to ourselves “Hey, come on, let’s record a Christmas song!”. But which one? A new one that we would find cool. We then look through our long list of pending Christmas song suggestions. And there, Cloud decides: "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree", with nostalgia for the film "Home Alone" (do you remember the scene where young Kevin makes models dance to make people believe in gangsters that his family did not leave the house?). And what's more, it's in a rockabilly and very festive style and we've never made one before. So let's go ! We thank the 30 people who participated in this prize pool. You should have received an email with the download link. Thank you again for your support and trust. We hope you like this arrangement! Please keep this song a secret until we can talk about it on release day! Merci à : Papi Daniel, Fromi, Lisa, Danydeladrome, Charboula, Carchar0th_, Magalilou, Gtel69, F5PBG, CoualCahuet, Haryzona31, BiBiLfantOme, ArtAlexB_go, Magicironsam, NiihLink, Orion653, Cromelec, Astarioth, GoozeBerry, Pirate_Data, Leseb_16, Ahraviis, Freyacorbeaublanc, Saturne2021, Wardrocks, Leseb_16, VisitorG, Lucmarcheciel, Thalionwenn, RowerLito ❤ ! THE FINAL RESULT: (official release December 22 at 10 p.m. CET) https://youtu.be/1jUCwO480nk Recording studio phase with Alex Haïkine: No time to fool around for this video! We try to find two consecutive days free for recording. Not easy because we must first study the song, give ourselves a basis for arrangement, have it sufficiently in our ears and in our fingers to be as effective as possible on the big day. We take a break on December 9 and 10 between two bursts of concerts. We bring Alex to Metz (our hometown), it's all uproar in my room which is transformed into a home studio with screens/plaids to muffle the natural resonances as much as possible. We're starting to get used to the procedure: first the guitars (because yes, here Cloud wanted to record three different ones), then the lead vocals on the same day, just before we went to enjoy the concert of Sting at the Rockhal (yay!). The next day, we start with a word correction for my voice, then quickly do the bodhran and concertina takes with a dedicated solo. What took the longest were the choruses which were partly improvised. We refine based on harmony, we test things, we keep, we throw away. As a reward for a long, productive weekend, we order burgers. And there, unfortunately, a food does not pass. We try to work a little more, check the accuracy of the voices, do a little editing just to move forward. But damn, we still feel weird. Alex decides to play the bass and bell parts quietly at home. We're no longer good for anything anyway. And we endure a horrible night. All three. At least everything is in the box. Filming phase without director and editing: We get used to not having to worry about the light, the framing, the shots! No Aalehx, nor Giovanni this time. We're going back to the old way: we take our stream camera, our lights, we sit in front of our Christmas decorations and off we go! But even if it meant making this Studio-Clip original, I had the following idea: who particularly likes hanging around the Christmas tree? Cats, of course (stealers even)! And why not ask the adopters of the SOS Moustaches association to pose for us? This association takes in stray cats, cares for them, sterilizes them, and either releases them in good health, or socializes them with a foster family before having them adopted. We took in two cats in 2020 and 2021 (Minette and Mister) as a foster family. The evolution of our profession has forced us to stop welcoming new cats, but we continue to support the association (donation, visibility). Unfortunately, due to lack of time and probably clear and concise explanations in our announcement, we did not have any videos from adopters. Nevertheless, we posted our message on our social networks and 12 cats offered themselves as extras (well, their humans took care of capturing them for us)! The project ? Film the cats near the Christmas tree or decorations, without forcing them to do anything. These videos taken in portrait would be the central element of our clip. This particular constraint (verticality) forced us to think about our filming completely differently! On both sides are our musical shots thought of in portrait form (this is not at all instinctive as a way of proceeding), while in the center the cats follow one another. A very visually dense clip. It is very likely that you will need to watch it several times to catch all the details and comedic effects. Felines in the spotlight: We thank our families very very much for taking the trouble to capture precious moments with their cats. And we know how much we don't make cats do anything haha. (They are the masters of the world, after all). So thank you to Adelle and her sweet Ella who gets the ball rolling and poses for the YouTube vignette, to Magalilou and her impassive Chacha who we enjoy during our vacations, to Coualcahuet and her 14-year-old Lotus adopted two years ago, to Adma357 and Intis who chills in front of the fireplace, to CitronBoniste and her adorable Hansel & Gretel in front of the piano, to Emi5457 and Phoeonix57 and their two cats Topaze & Phoenix who had a very different relationship with their tree, to MarionK and her super cute Pantoufff, to AnthSand and their very playful Silvio (we had to make a selection in the plans), to the Vanhoutte's who knew how to capture the yawn of their Alphonse, and to my family and our fluffy Ghizmo too cute with his Christmas hat (note the quick incursion of the dog Hermione to come and bother GuiGui during capture). All these cats clearly added value to our Christmas song and helped convey the following important message: for Christmas and throughout the rest of the year, offer a new life full of love to a cat in search of 'a home ♥. Seriously, after this burst of cute cats, it's pretty inspiring, right? We still remember that a cat - or any other animal - is neither a toy nor a stuffed animal, but a sentient living being, which requires attention, care, and love. An adopted animal becomes a full member of the family and the law punishes people who mistreat their animals. Adopting is a responsible act that must be carefully considered. 🐱🐱🐱🐱🐱 The SOS Mustaches association needs support. There are several ways to help the structure which actively fights to help our stray cats: one-off or regular donations, merchandising, collection, volunteering (during collections, as a foster family, etc.) and of course adoption (self- same or relay of announcements). Even the smallest gestures count, so thank you for her. 🥰 I make a donation: https://www.helloasso.com/associations/sos-moustaches/formulaires/2 This association works in Moselle (France), but there is surely a structure near you which has the same ambitions. Unfortunately, too many felines and too many dogs are abandoned each year when they need a loving family. 🐱🐱🐱🐱🐱 THANK YOU for allowing us to indulge our creativity! The 6th prize pool for the future video therefore takes over! Bring your stone to the building and receive the audio file from 1€, as soon as it leaves the studio + your name/pseudo accredited in the credits of the video on Youtube + for donations of 5€ and + to have a priority request during one of our live streams on Twitch: I PARTICIPATE BY SPECIFYING MY EMAIL ADDRESS. • "Good Riddance" Hades OST

Do you know the video game Hades ? On our side, we've never played it. But as Twitch streamers, we've seen the hype it caused on the platform for a while. Many people were dedicating time to it. And some regulars shared some music from the soundtrack with us. One song in particular caught our attention. It's precisely this song that was the subject of this new Studio-Clip! 3rd donation goal launched on Twitch shortly after "Lemon Tree" and no poll to decide that we were going to cover this song. In fact, we wanted a title that had nothing to do with what we had produced so far: an acoustic song, vocal harmonies (so far, nothing new), but with an Irish bouzouki (ah!) and in a medieval-style (oh yes). Not to mention the fact that it remains an iconic music from a video game that only geeks and other players will know. Our usual audience may be quite surprised! Mood: In the video game, there are two secondary characters, Orpheus and Eurydice. Here, the song originally performed by Orpheus was also adapted as a duet. And what a reading of the lyrics we can have! This song offered an absolutely incredible playground for our director Aalehx, hehe. But before telling you about the production (in any case, as of now, we haven't shot anything yet), let me tell you about the recording and mixing phase which was not easy. First, it's important to know that we didn't have a good Irish bouzouki at our disposal (in fact, in the original song, this instrument isn't used, but the sound is very similar). Thomas Blaise, a friend of ours and a musician in our former Irish music group, Blossom, had lent us his very first bouzouki a long time ago. It was a "Moon" bouzouki that he himself had bought from Les Culs Trempés (an instrument that had lived a good life since then ^^). He never got it back, having since acquired a better instrument. But the current Moon wasn't very suitable for the recording studio, so we had to search for another bouzouki to do the job. It wasn't easy to find the right one, even among the few musician friends in the area who owned one! Finally, despite the many kilometers that separated us, it was Thomas who once again saved the day (and for that, we really thank him, along with Clémence, a friend and fellow violinist who helped share the baby during the month of December). Be sure to check out the website for their lovely duo Pick & Bow 💖. Okay, the first task was to find the life-saving bouzouki (or rather the big mandolin in this case). On December 17th and 18th, we invited Alex Haïkine to record with us. As usual, we turned Becky's room into a home studio, put down some blankets, placed the great microphones, and tried out some things. When faced with a new instrument, the challenge for a sound engineer is to "make it sound". And there, our Tritok worked some small miracles to bring out the best in the instrument. It wasn't easy for Cloud either to adapt to the touch of a mandolin that he had never held before (or a very long time ago). A-DAP-TA-TION! Then we tackled the vocals. And once again, we were faced with choices. Especially regarding our interpretations. While the original version is very soft, we decided to "push" a little on the chorus. Thus, Cloud won't always stay with a weak head voice, but will use his mixed and more timbre voice for sounds with more harmonics. This has the effect of creating more dynamics than originally planned. And it's not a bad thing! But we didn't stop there. As I sometimes play keyboard on it during our Twitch live streams, Tritok had fun adding some synth pads to enhance our arrangement! I won't say more for now. Only the people who participated in the third fundraiser were finally able to discover and hopefully enjoy this new version that we fine-tuned for days and days through editing, mixing, and mastering sessions. And what's next? Regarding the filming, there are still some questions that I need to sort out. If you only knew where we would like to embark! A well-crafted scenario, the NO REASON team by our side (you know, the ones who did our makeup for the special live for the 6666 followers), Aalehx completely in free wheeling mode, an incredible location, a photographer on site to capture it all! In short, we have our work cut out for us, and we need to hurry up and take advantage of the perfectly gloomy season for our filming 🖤. Great, looking forward to seeing the updates! Don't hesitate to share with us when there's news. And for those who missed it, it's good to know that they can still catch up on the recording and filming process by checking out the archived stories on the band's Instagram. And as usual, a little reminder: the fourth fundraiser for the future video is ongoing but ending soon! Contribute and receive the audio file regardless of the amount of your participation, as soon as it comes out of the studio + your name/pseudo accredited in the credits of the video on Youtube. And for donations of 5€ and above, you'll have a priority request during one of our live streams on Twitch: I PARTICIPATE BY SPECIFYING MY EMAIL ADDRESS. • TV and Radio Interviews 2022

It's been a while since we talked about all our projects on local TV and radio. It was time to catch up! 📺 MOSELLE TV - La Boîte à m'Alice (The m'Alicious Box) We promoted our Studio-Clips on Moselle TV's show "La Boîte à M'Alice" with Alicia Hiblot on November 29th. We really like this show and we will probably go back to talk about the next chapter of our musical adventures! Alicia came to our house to film from our streaming room (where we mainly broadcast our Twitch live streams). Topics discussed: 🔹 What are Studio-Clips? 🔹 What was our first Studio-Clip? 🔹 How was the second Studio-Clip born (title choice, arrangement construction)? 🔹 How was the "Lemon Tree" clip born? A report of less than 5 minutes can be found in full on Moselle.tv's Youtube channel, as well as on our music Youtube channel (video below). Subtitles available! ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ 💻 LIVE TWITCH : "Lemon Tree" release with director Aalehx We had a change of pace with a laid-back live stream on our Twitch channel with our friend, musician, illustrator, and director Aalehx on October 31st (a well-chosen date, don't you think?)! We thought it would be interesting to do a clip release with Premiere Youtube and the presence of the director so that all the viewers present could react in real-time and ask any questions that came to their minds after watching the video. So, on our dedicated secondary Youtube channel for Twitch replays, you'll find that famous 1-hour VOD with all the pertinent questions: how it happened, details about the clip, how it was constructed... No timecodes here, sorry, but it goes in so many directions that it's difficult to chapterize this live stream! However, you can try using the automatically generated subtitles on Youtube. Let us know if you're able to understand our exchanges! ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ 📻 BLE Radio : Les Routes du Rock (Roads of Rock) And lastly, on December 8th, we went to Clouange to the BLE Radio studios to talk about all our ongoing projects with Benoît Sallerin, the host of the program "Les Routes du Rock." We had a good laugh with Benoit. In an hour and a half, we were able to discuss all our current projects, starting with our activities on Twitch, the Studio-Clips concept and our creations, as well as our upcoming album. And a few digressions too (including the future musical project of Elon Musk 😅). In this video, however, everything is chaptered! You just need to select the topics that interest you. And there are some exclusives in there! • Fool's Garden's "Lemon Tree" (video)

The launch of crowdfunding: After the success of our very first studio-clip "Rehab", we launched the 2nd crowdfunding which lasted from April 15 to June 27, 2022. Two and a half months to collect €1434.12 covering the additional costs of recording our Amy Winehouse's cover and allowing to have some additional funds for the 3th future video... At the end of this crowdfunding campaign, a survey was launched and the participants selected the title "Lemon Tree" among three other songs. Thanks to them for helping us decide! The 45 people who participated received an email with the download link. Thanks again to them for their support and trust. We hope you enjoy this arrangement! Please keep this song a secret until we can talk about it on the day of its release! Thank you: Orsuprem, Emmaopaline, Yann Bidon, StregonaLeon, Rosy, CoualCahuet, Carachar0th_, Joy_Sticks, JulienRoch, Slamdunkk59, Thalionwenn, Gtel69, ypomoni_16, Capttainchoco, HiraethFern, Danydeladrome, NowImABeliever, JYM34, F5PBG, Claudine Degouy, HerwayD, BiBiLfantOme, Gael047, Astarioth, Nafiros, TheWindlancer, NathStudioPhoto, KageDmuscle2, JimiEdge, Aliquandodo, Pirate_Data, Valérie H., Fofffie, J2PG, Roumroum77, EcureuilPrudent, MamiCitron, Vigali17, pKano, magali_57, MagaliFloAvesqueVernhes, Stefmane, Papi Daniel, Fromi ❤ ! Thank you for allowing us so much creativity! THE FINAL RESULT : Recording studio phase with Tritok: There were several recording sessions timed to the aftermath of concerts in order to reduce travel costs. On July 10 we were recording guitar and vocals. On August 4, make way for the piano and a new instrument that you're not used to seeing here: the trumpet! Cloud dreams of learning to play it more seriously one day, especially since I and his mum were given a very nice one for Christmas... Maybe the day we move to a house far from neighbours! In the meantime, he applies the little knowledge he has and the magic happens after a few tweaks during editing 😁. And then, on October 2, we proceed to edit and mix the title. The following week, we receive different masters. Not easy to have to work on the length because of the tour which cut our momentum. But there again it was fun to work on the arrangement and to try original things to surprise you, such as adding backing vocals, the gradual appearance of the trumpet. Some have also wondered: but what does this have to do with Pesto?! Basically, none. No, the song never alludes to a cooking recipe. But in the original, there is a break in the glass after one of the verses. Neither one nor two, we (or Alex) thought about this sad incident during a live on Twitch: the terrible fall of Pesto's pot! An excerpt is still visible on our channel. Our first viewers still remember it and it's an allusion that often comes back to us... (we even have a "pot of pesto" emote on our Discord server, that's telling you!) Filming phase with Aalehx: For several weeks I searched in vain for a place to be suitable for this new song for filming... We thought first about an empty or uninviting apartment or house. But it wasn't easy to find... Finally, like a sudden click, like an alignment of ideas as 60 kilometers separated us at that moment, Aalehx and I had the same idea: what if we turned to our bassist Aurore? Her country house decor and large rooms could do the trick! So two days after a concert with [18.56] we were at her house and Steph. For the screenplay, we had several ideas. But the one we have chosen makes sense with the lyrics of the song: boredom, waiting for the other, with obviously a lot of reinterpretation with depression, suicidal thoughts, incommunicability between two people. As for the meaning of Pesto? The loss of a beloved one? Nah, it's just a joke! Note the super light tone of these themes in the editing and the rhythm. This is not a pipe, you are mistaken, appearances are deceiving! In fact, everything is fine (yes? sure?). Besides, if we believe Wikipedia, the author of this song wrote it in 20 minutes while waiting for his girlfriend on a rainy and boring Sunday afternoon. A salty sweet song. Even catchy, we do not know on which foot to dance! The release of the clip and its promo: Aaaaaah the teaser frustrated you! That Aalehx is evil. After all, that's what it's for, a teaser. To be short and frustrating. On Monday, October 31 for Halloween, we released the clip! We were live on Twitch with Aalehx for an evening mixing trio music, sharing filming anecdotes, making-of and blooper videos, your very interesting questions and the sequel to the Darq video game. Thank you for playing the game and for exploding the view counter for this Premiere with all these likes and comments on Youtube ♥ [It's not too late to help improve our statistics for this video: https://youtu.be/qUP8X_aCicc] We will also have the opportunity to promote this clip on BLE Radio on November 10th! Thank you ! (and glory to the Pesto) The 3rd pot for the future video is in progress but ends soon! Bring your stone to the building and receive the audio file whatever the amount of your participation, as soon as it leaves the studio + your name/accredited pseudonym in the credits of the video on Youtube + for donations of 5€ and + to have a priority request during one of our live on Twitch: I PARTICIPATE BY SPECIFYING MY EMAIL ADDRESS. • Amy Winehouse's "Rehab" (video)

For the new year, we had decided with Cloud that all donations made on Twitch/Streamlabs would finance the recording of a new video for our Youtube channel. The goal is feeding it and having new content to offer you that shows all our music styles! Until now we had compiled a lot of folk and rather "calm" songs. So we worked together to choose one of our dynamic interpretations! The first donation goal ("video #1" tab) was successful in mid-April. It took us six days from mid-April to the end of May to decide on the arrangement, test patterns and melodies, record our instruments, edit, mix, master our version of "Rehab" composed by Amy Winehouse. [For those who missed our posts on the different stages, we invite you to see (again) our Instagram stories] We started with a live version in the same way as our previous videos, and then our sound engineer Alex Haïkine (alias Tritok) suggested arrangements to us. In addition to the guitar, the two voices, the bodhràn, you will also hear small percussions, 60s typed keyboards, and a lot of automations, stereo effects. Check our first trailer about our recording session: The 44 people who participated in this first donation goal received an email with the download link. Thanks again to them for their support and trust. We hope you enjoy this arrangement! Thank you Truelle, F5PBG, jon_at_an, JulienRoch, Nafiros, fideuaua, NathStudioPhoto, fiatminimis, loudeib, DidRman, hank_hulle, lord_vampiron, danydeladrome, Thalionwenn, migueshlukt, dylougames, ypomoni_16, Dell03, CoualCahuet, EcureuilPrudent, Spect888, Hundraw_, Gragarda, ClDegouy, FofieDu57, HappyExpress, yannbidon, HerwayD, chachachou59, MagaliFloAvesqueVernhes, JYM34, emmaopaline, benoitj, stefmane, BiBiLfantOme, OrSuprem, NowImABeliever, I_Hermione, bk_chester, Nazgul_Etherion, Gtel69, LaFamiille, StregonaLeon, Rosy, GrandPa Daniel, Valérie H., Fromi ! The filming of the video took place on Monday June 20 in the bar La Jehanne in Metz (FR). Aalehx, our sidekick and Captain in Project 18.56, was behind the camera. The goal of these studio clips is to find a different shooting location for each session. For this first video, we wanted a public place, with space, which we like and whose setting could allow us to position ourselves in different places in order to multiply the points of view. We met at 10 a.m. on Monday June 20, a day when we were sure not to bother the barmaid of the day too much (hello Justine!), nor the customers. We settled in quietly, starting by making the keyboard plans with Alex Haïkine. Don't be surprised to never see his face on screen (or in photos). Our sound engineer, friend and pianist, doesn't like being in front of the stage. We have therefore respected his wish and you will only see his hands ♥. Then there were lots of duo shots all over the floor (nothing was shot in the vault), then the guitar and the bodhran. We had a lot of fun on certain passages: a few customers had the scoop to see us perform the song in fast and slow motion for video effects of a few seconds. You will have the opportunity to share your favorite moments with us under the final video on Youtube! Aalehx always has surprising ideas which in the end have their little effect! We warmly thank Franck Ansalone for allowing us to shoot in his pretty and iconic café on Place Jeanne d'Arc in Metz (if you're sightseeing here, take full advantage of this place which is a little corner of paradise with its fountain, its church, its protective trees, its vegan restaurant, its bakery, its Trinitaires and of course its café terrace - maybe you'll even be entitled to a concert if you're lucky). Thanks again Justine who was not too upset by our rehearsals for "Rehab" until her end of service at 4 p.m. Join us this SATURDAY July 16 at 8:45 p.m CET for a musical live Twitch then at 10:30 p.m CET on Youtube for the broadcast of the clip, of which we will share a few more anecdotes. The 3rd donation goal for the future video is in progress (2n is already over)! Bring your stone to the building and receive the audio file whatever the amount of your participation, as soon as it leaves the studio + your name/accredited pseudonym in the credits of the video on Youtube + the possibility of participating in the survey on the choice of the song + for donations of €5and+ to have a priority request during one of our live streams on Twitch: I PARTICIPATE BY SPECIFYING MY EMAIL ADDRESS.

  • 2021 Retrospective

Despite another complicated year in terms of concerts, it went by very quickly. And although we systematically have this unpleasant feeling that time has passed between our fingers and that "we haven't done anything", it is good to dive back into our archives to find that no, we have been very active for a while. times this year! Hang in there, there are going to be a lot of links and anecdotes! 1) The year in figures: Let's start with numbers because it often speaks to everyone. Number of 2021 Twitch lives = 154 streams averaging 4.8 hours long. Number of live concerts (only with Becky & Cloud) = 23 concerts. Well, we could say that we spend our life on Twitch where we broadcast every 2.3 days on average! Well then! And check out this: 3902 followers this single year! What a beautiful, totally unexpected progression! 2) Highlights of the New Year 2020 stream: In 2020, we also ended the year on Twitch with a very funny live and epic moments: video clip link. We wonder what the 2021 New Years Twitch party has in store for us! 3) We celebrated our 2345 followers on Twitch: Having missed the mark of the 2000 followers on our streaming platform, we celebrated the 2345. It's funnier. 12 hours of live action with a lot of fun once again. Link to the video extract. Obviously on the program we were late, we could not do everything, but we did almost everything! It was even our first “marathon” on Twitch. We held on after so many hours. 4) Release of Season 1 of the musical web-series 18.56: For lack of concerts with our electro space rock band SF, Captain Aalehx took us on the crazy adventure of the web-series! 6 musical episodes that retrace the life of the crew when they are not playing on stage. This first season introduces the characters a bit and begins to weave a plot. Each episode whose release was spaced 3 weeks apart for the first 5 (the 6th requiring filming outdoors without being blocked by confinements, we had to wait more months) was valued on Twitch. Interview, anecdotes, live music from compositions and rearranged covers 18.56. In short, a lot of work for a nice result in free listening on Youtoube! We warmly thank the generous people who made possible the filming of this first season. Can't wait for the second! Musical extract from a release party Thanks for the donations! All Season1 on Youtube 5) Foster family for cats for ''SOS Moustaches'' and first Minette: So it has nothing to do with music, but being a cat foster family is like having a dependent child at home and it changes a life. We took advantage of the confinements to get started because the cause was close to our hearts. Our first protégé was a 12-year-old Minette and unfortunately after too much time in the street and not enough care, she left with generalized cancer. She ended her days with us and she clearly marked our lives. A real love ball and a starlet on Twitch ♥ Cat-botage live on Twitch ! The blog that we keep as a foster family All about the SOS Moustaches association 6) A Pirate Subgoal Stream Reached: We are often asked the question of the famous pirate stream that we owe you following this "subgoal" reached during the year [Watch the video of 100% reached]. In truth, we do not forget it and we had beautiful plans for this one. The VERY BIG kind that requires preparation. We had already started working hard on it, but it was delayed by the other multiple projects that have been added and which you are reading the list here! We keep the idea warm, because frankly, it would be a shame not to make it happen on a large scale! 7) Champion of the Artogone : Yanislow, sculptor and initiator of this ambitious project combining role play and artistic performance, invited us for a special Artogone combining musical creation and illustrated creation. Objective: through a well-crafted scenario, our mission was to save our city from an enemy attack thanks to our powers linked to music. Clues were scattered throughout the story told at the start of the live and we had less than 3 hours to create music and a character with specific powers, perhaps able to meet each test. And bingo, our heroine Sifa won the challenge! The opportunity for us to get to know other talented streamers who participated in the event and to offer completely new content: the live composition! 8) Release of 3 musical improvisation videos: During the 1st lockdown, I had proposed "meditation" streams with musical improvisations typed "world". After several months, three songs were extracted and we were published on Youtube after a little trip to the studio to add some effects impossible to do live. Read the Blog. Like and comment the Playlist on Youtube 9) Special 2-year stream and Twitch Partnership: The year 2021 will also have been marked by the consecration of the Twitch partnership! So in itself, that doesn't change much, it's just that it looks classier to have the little purple check mark next to our name. To celebrate this event and our two years on the platform, we offered a 14-hour live broadcast with a target of 200 subgoals on the evening that we reached, involving 40 short and long term challenges! 🤯 This is the session where we laughed the most of our life. Must say, we had prepared challenges in this direction ... [A short extract] VOD is obviously freely available on our secondary Youtube channel, cut and chaptered to find your way around! If you have time to kill, relive this amazing day: We have not yet completed all of our challenges, but not far! As soon as a new one is made, it will be highlighted in the list. The Partnership blog and what it entails (FAQ) The blog on the famous 14 hours live List of all our challenges from the May 29 live special 10) Escape Game Online surprise evening with the Sequestrator: Aaaaaah, how well we had you on the spot! We made you believe that we were going to invite a famous musical collaborator who would change our career. Sorry for the false joy. Instead, you got to have a totally unique and innovative experience on Twitch! At the Jazz Conservatory a few years ago, we met a talented multi-instrumentalist musician whom I will remain anonymous. The current passed very quickly and we even had the opportunity to play a musical with him at the prestigious Arsenal hall in Metz (just that). Fan of video games and escape games, he developed with other collaborators "The Sequestrator" with the first sessions on Twitch, accessible to all. But for the first time, the team wanted to offer a tailor-made experience to a streamer in order to surprise the latter's community. Becky & Cloud were the beta testers of this experience, with tailored challenges specific to our content. This is how, on July 16, you were able to help us get Thomas out of his prison by solving puzzles related to music and cinema. A concept that our viewers liked a lot and that is likely to develop on Twitch! 😉 11) First Live Concert broadcast on Twitch: Something promised, due since it was part of the challenges of May 29, we rebroadcast our concert in mid-July at Place Jeanne d'Arc in Metz, on Twitch! It was our very first time and it worked out pretty well. Only at the very end the stream crashed, but our spectators were able to see almost the whole concert in a pleasant sound quality (not as much as when we are at home, but much better than a lot of outdoor lives ^_^). Extract (1) from the concert Extrait (2) from the concert The entire concert 12) Becky & the Celtic Tramps: Also in July, Becky did a service to a Celtic group from Lorraine by learning their entire repertoire for a concert, in just 2.5 weeks ... It resulted in some cancellations of Twitch lives, as the work to be done was so dense! [Read Becky's Blog on this with some pretty pictures]. During the concert, Cloud took the opportunity to broadcast this live live on Twitch. A funny extract has been saved! 13) The Celti'Cîmes 2021: We love our traditional road trip in the Alps to enjoy this lovely Irish music festival for almost a week! The opportunity for us to go green, to learn from musicians specializing in this style, to see friends again, and to experience very good concerts! This year, we will have shared with you two live performances from the weekend concerts which took place on the Place de l'Opinel d'Albiez. Read the Blog Check our Instagram stories 14) August: Here, we still took advantage of vacation. Two good weeks without music (incredible). But we quickly went on between filming episode 6 of 18.56, meetings with future newlyweds who had to postpone their wedding date because of the Pandemic, several concerts including the incredible in Brussels, Twitch lives and a first meeting for a very special and unforeseen future literary event! 15) Arrival of Mister: And then, at the beginning of September, as we knew we weren't going to move anytime soon, we welcomed a new cat picked up by the SOS Mustaches Association which I mentioned above with Minette. He's been with us since September 6th and he's made a lot of progress! A little ball of love that begs to be adopted ♥ Learn more about Mister (Photos and Videos through the new blog that I have set up for future adopters) 16) Livestream special FURVENT: Another UFO party organized on Twitch. A subject that was close to my heart in partnership with the Compagnie ERNO, a theater company in Metz. On the occasion of the broadcast on YouTube of the first stage of work of their new creation "FURVENT - Plongée au cœur de la 34ème Horde", we organized on September 20 an original evening around the work of Alain Damasio, in the presence of the members of the Company live from the La Cour des Grands bookstore, rue Taison in Metz, a completely different setting! It took almost two months of preparation for this live: several interview meetings for my part in order to organize the best possible conduct of the evening, a good technical puzzle for Cloud (required to move the stream PC, my 2 screens and call on Tritok / Alex Haïkine for sound and Philippe Molina for cameras). But the result was there. We had nothing to envy the literary programs of Arte! We would have believed it! What a pleasant experience in the midst of all these books! Better yet, it made people want to buy the book or dive back into it. "Furvent" will soon give birth to a CD / vinyl with the recording of the music created for the show and the voices of 23 hordiers including Becky & Cloud. A great and ambitious work carried out by the ERNO Company! We will give you some news soon. Literary evening: Furvent on Twitch (VOD) The show online on Youtube Pics from the livestream on Instagram Buy the Book (we don't get any commissions on that, it's my literary crush!) We came out of this experience growing up! Enough to see that we had a dream team for this kind of show and that in the future if it were to happen on another subject, we would save time. It was really nice to offer content that has nothing to do with our habits. 17) The come-back of Irish music: 2021 will also have been marked by the deaths of relatives, including Mike, our flautist from Blossom, an Irish music group which celebrated its 15th anniversary this year. It was the end of March, and it really brought our morale down. We wanted to record an EP with our cool arrangements. There was a strong chemistry between us. Damn virus. The group did not survive this loss. At the start of the school year, we took the heavy decision to stop the project, seeing that it would be difficult to move forward without him. It seemed inconceivable, however, to stop Irish music. And the opportunity to set up a new project presented itself. An ambitious project in which I will no longer be alone to carry out at arm's length. We therefore present to you Sheenay. Sheenay's Instagram Sheenay's Facebook 18) 18.56 in North of France: Our Comic-Concert project traveled to the North thanks to a Twitch spectator who spoke about us at the Cultural Center in his town! In September and October, we therefore have to rehearse a lot to present this original show again after several months of forced shutdown ♥ The concert announced at the Lesquin cultural center The show trailer (nothing to do with our web-series) A 15-minute live to give you an overview 19) Becky & Cloud and guest: So that happened totally by chance! While Yann Caroff (who plays in Sheenay and with whom I worked for a long time with Patchwork and Congo Square) was canvassing for our duo, an organizer saw our Christmas medley in trio from last year with Orilia at U-Bass and choirs. He insisted on having this formula, and since Yann does not know how to say no and the challenge was too good to refuse it, we did a few rehearsals with him so that he swallowed up 1h30 of repertoire in a few sessions! (It looked like me with the Celtic Tramps haha) Thanks to him we had a few dates at the Luxembourg Christmas markets and we had a great time! A formula that deserves to last over time? Tell us if you liked ^^ [Read the Blog with all the photos!] 20) Our1st Best-Of Clips: For Christmas this year, we haven't worked on a video in the theme. Not at all had time. On the other hand, we have finally compiled some clips, since the time we wanted to do that! [Read the Blog] 21) Reflections, Training and Futures: The Conclusion! This year, even if we didn't release a new album with anyone when we wanted to, we still worked a lot. No doubt having the lead in such eclectic projects pushes back the rise of our duo a little, but let's say that we see it as a logical progression of our musical entities, always in search of improvements, of new experiences. Yes, our different groups enrich us as a duo. They encourage us to take an interest in other things and also to present you with varied content. The Pandemic will have turned our lives upside down, like yours, no doubt. This forced us to reposition ourselves. Cloud and I trained a lot: me more on the administrative side (intermittence - special french kob for musicians, creating its structure, the music professions, advertising on social networks, the laws that frame us as music professionals) and Cloud has self-trained a lot on Twitch (broadcast Streamlabs OBS and OBS Studio, overlays, chat commands) and on Adobe Première Pro (for video editing, Youtube previews). What motivates us to continue our life as musicians in addition to our jobs as home music teachers, clearly, is YOU. Since the start of this Pandemic, you have kept us afloat, shown that we are not non-essential and that it is worth it to continue on this path when there are many colleagues to change branches. Thanks to you, we even plan to become Show Intermittent in 2022. It finally seems possible. In addition to always offering you more fun content on Twitch. To continue giving music lessons. And even to release new albums, new videos... But I will have the opportunity to come back to these points in a future article. Thank you for reading me so far [Feel free to add a 💖 in reaction to indicate that yes, you really read everything haha], you are really wonderful! We hope that you too will be able to take stock of your year and motivate yourself to make your dreams come true despite the economic situation. Do you well and see you soon on the Internet or IRL 😊.
